Rep. Doggett's amendment would call for 'multis to pay at least some tax'
In the 2017 Trump Tax Scam, Republicans created new tax incentives for giant multinationals to ship American jobs and profits abroad. I introduced an amendment closing a key loophole, requiring multis to pay at least some tax no matter where they shift their profits.
Republicans struck it down and voted to give large corporations further tax breaks in their Tax Scam 2.0. It’s an America Last tax policy, one that incentivizes outsourcing and hurts domestic businesses that can't shift profits from sales in America to an offshore haven.
