Biden's Admin turns down Speaker Johnson's bid: Ukraine Aid-for-LNG Deal

A new proposal by House Speaker Mike Johnson links aid for Ukraine and Israel to the lifting of a pause on new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export licenses imposed by the Biden administration.

Johnson aims to unfreeze the LNG export licenses, as LNG exports could potentially disrupt Vladimir Putin's war efforts by reducing Europe's dependence on Russian energy.
